Use this service to request the removal of a general waste bin

Arun will provide a new free 180 litre general waste bin, delivered in advance of the spring 2026 waste and recycling collection changes. If you do not want your old bin, we will collect and recycle it free of charge.

We are currently dealing with a very large number of requests to collect unwanted bins. Because of this, the previous collection timescale of 10 working days after you receive your new 180‑litre bin is no longer possible. The new target date for collecting unwanted bins is 31 May 2026.

If you have already asked us to remove your unwanted general waste bin, we are working on it. You do not need to contact us again or send another request.

Before you start you will need:

• your address
• the type and size of the bin
• your name, email address and phone number

The bin must be completely empty when presented for collection.
