| Proposal | Listed building consent for proposed external works to replace sections of rotten shiplap cladding with identical boards to match the existing structure, minor repairs to some of the corner posts that have experienced rot; within porch area, non-original plywood which has rotted will be replaced with shiplap cladding identical to the rest of the building, existing guttering and downpipes will be retained but cleaned and re-hung correctly to ensure proper drainage, external walls will be given a fresh paint to replicate the current colours of white and black. Internal works to include the return the interior of the Gratwicke building to a high standard, restoring it closer to its original layout, removal of the existing toilets to create a more open space for members with the installation of two new toilets in the area currently occupied by the kitchen, existing soil and water pipes from the kitchen will be repurposed for the new toilet facilities, existing floor will be carpeted, remove and replace ceilings, upgrade electrical system to include new fuse board, replacement of all internal doors with traditional wooden panel doors, painted white. |
